i straighten my hair everyday, if i get a perm, can't i just straighten it when it needs a retouch? it'll take less time than when its fully curly, or would getting a perm mean it'll be worse for me to straighten it?

As I hairdresser I advise that You need to get regular steam treatments. 3 /4 weeks. When you get your hair chemical damaged whether it’s colour or permanent straightening you need to do steam treatments. Without treatments/ trims the hair will break unevenly. Hope this helps.

Not the same thing, but this happened to me w my protein treatment. but i didn’t even know i have to grow it all out to get my natural curls back. It thinned my hair out so bad too and ended up doing a big chop ugh
