do you have advice on training a 3 year old dog that we rescued? we didn't intend on him being my service animal initially, but I've come into the need of one and we can't afford for us to get a whole new dog/puppy. plus, we are currently traveling.

Thank you so much for this video! I am 15 and have multiple physical disabilities and other things like autism, ocd and anxiety. My parents are finally considering getting and self training a service dog for me. We are a dog family and I grew up with a Labrador and now have a little dachshund. I’m honestly scared to finally start this journey just because of all the bad possibilities and me still being in school. What breed would you recommend for a first time service dog handler? We, of course were thinking about a Labrador but maybe there are other breeds we could work with? I have been following you for a while and love your content so thank you so much.

What is Chinese self train for specific mobility like guide dog use and you want them on a specific side, and they weave from side to side, and you're already having to get them away from distractions and focused on you would that overwhelm our brain too much, trying to keep them on one side. Or how do you prevent them from waving from side to side?

Mine is a mix of Border collie, Borzoi (the long athletic dogs) and 2 other breeds, he has a problem with when there is a car coming he will lay down, crawl and run and bark at it. how do I fix this, help!!

U ARE the Only Trainer, Other than Myself, that I have ever heard suggest person train their own service dog.... Good to Hear

Is my fiance able to help with training? Like for waking me up? I'd probably want the pup to hop on me like a fox until I sit up but I'm not sure how I'd show them what I'm wanting while I'm laying "asleep"..

Thank you sm :3 although I’m having some trouble training: I have a pug named Biscuit. She’s my girl, and has always been helpful, but she struggles with obedience. She knows her tasks, but I also want her to learn how to remind me to take my meds. But she’s really stubborn sometimes and I feel like she doesn’t wanna do it all the time. Sometimes she’s in the mood, but like I’m having trouble training her. So could you help? She already knows her tasks for my anxiety. I just need a small bit of help. Ty!!

Hi! I need help with the dog interaction factor. I tried hard with my dog and he was doing great played when off work and ignored when working. Until we got attacked at the dog park 3 times. We’ve stopped going all together on a personal level I’m too anxious to go back at this point. And now with most dog he’s on high alert. Am I able to go back how we were or will I now just have to keep him at bay with Ignoring all at all times?
