I remember hearing a story of a woman who had a psychotic break after taking marijuana and ended up killing someone. I was confused, because I heard that THC was a downer. But your page made it make a lot more sense. It's crazy that despite it becoming legal in many places, it's becoming more dangerous.

This happened to me whenever I was 15 I hit a high concentrated THC pen and it put me into a bad state of derealization and I’m 19 now it’s been four years and I still feel derealization and panic and anxiety that stemmed from that night

I know this is not a joke I used in the past for anxiety and never had a situation like that kid but I know when I took a break for a few years and when I tried it again the effects were MUCH different I started feeling anxious and paranoid so I said no thank you!

so I had a client in her 30s who was having anxiety which started to look like some kind of a psychotic break. long story short we're very lucky to have a behavioral clinic attached to one of our emergency rooms for psych or substance use issues. I had to do some internet sleeping because she was starting to send me very disjointed text messages anyway I got a hold of her family and come to find out she was self-medicating with gummies and this had actually been going on for a couple of months and they had no idea what to do. so I met them at the ER and they gathering for evaluation tonight. so while we waited for that I talked to them about resources etc and the process. they're very suburban people and they don't know anything about these things they've been trying to help her on their own. they had no idea that gummies and the mental health drugs that she was randomly taking could cause this. I just want to thank you for the work you're doing. we have to educate people her father and I had a long talk about all the over-the-counter corner store folks who are rolling this stuff out. ♥️
