Love the medallion! Love the floor! Get your leather chairs on Facebook marketplace, so if the cats ruin them, they can be replaced! Love the doorknobs! The fireplace is falling flat though. It’s not as ornate- maybe some added trims? Corbels?

I love the medallion! How about dry brushing some metallic paint just on the high spots. It would draw your eye upwards. Not solid metallic just what I call a little crusty!

A while back the internet informed me that cats don’t like scratching velvet. Apparently it doesn’t work for all cats but it worked for my cat so now all my furniture is slowly becoming velvet.. 😅 I think it might also help to include some cat furniture in your design if you have the option. That way they have something to mess up besides your furniture in that room.
