There was something different about Fortnite back then… something you can’t really explain unless you lived it. It wasn’t just a game. It was logging in after school, hearing that old lobby music, and knowing your friends were already waiting. No stress, no competition—just laughs, dumb plays, and moments that felt like they’d last forever. Remember landing at Tilted Towers when it actually felt scary? When every chest mattered, every win felt impossible, and building a simple 1x1 made you feel like a pro? Back when skins like the default ones actually meant something, because everyone was just starting… just learning… just having fun. It was staying up too late saying “one more game” even though you knew you had school tomorrow. It was those random squads where strangers became teammates for hours. It was the excitement of your first win—the shaking hands, the yelling, the feeling like you just did something huge. Now everything feels faster… harder… different. The map changed, the players changed, even we changed. But those memories? They stayed the same. And sometimes… you log back in, hear a familiar sound, and for a second… just one second… it feels like you’re back there again.

It’s sometimes so hard to let go of something that was actually there for you through thick and thin. When the internet was the only place that felt like home, those people weren't just "online friends".. they were everything. Every second we spent together really did count. I find myself thinking about it all the time. The adventures we had in-game that felt more real than anything else, the late-night calls that turned into early mornings because nobody wanted to be the first one to leave. We were literally obsessed with trying to hit that 100-hour mark on a single call just to say we did it. I miss the chaos of everyone hopping on the game at once, the sound of someone’s mom yelling in the background while we all muted and laughed, the constant trolling, and the inside jokes that literally nobody else would ever understand. We grew up together in those lobbies. We shared our real lives, our rants, and our secrets while we stared at loading screens. But… I guess everything has its season. It’s heavy knowing that the "old group" isn't a thing anymore and that those notifications don't pop up like they used to. People move on, lives get busy, and the "last online" status starts to say years instead of minutes. It was a fun time! Honestly , some of the best times of my life. I met some of the best people I’ll ever know, and even though we don't talk now, I’m just glad I have the memories of what we built. It was fun while it lasted. To the group that made the bad days bearable. Thank you for everything. Gg everyone! It was fun while it lasted✌️✌️🕊️
