even as a viewer, its annoying 😂 i leave a comment and someone responds "well whatabout xyz"... depending on my energy I'll usually screenshot amd highlight the exact line in my comment they say i didn't say as a response 😂😂

First time I’m seeing you on my fyp & you know what - I agree! I have similar problems with the type of videos I make and the people that comment. A critique is an attack or they leap to conclusions from a point I didn’t make.

As someone who barely ever comments on stuff I have thought about this for so long and how bizarre it is. The lack of media literacy is scary. I do, however, read comments a lot, and always say I’m gonna stop cause they just wind me up so much 😅

I just saw a video of this guy complaining about his experience going to see cardi b, and in the first 20 he says that this is not directed at cardi b. The first comment I see is along the lines of “it’s not cardi’s fault” 😐 people are truly losing the plot

I noticed a minor mistake when I was editing a video once and put a correction in as text instead of re-recording (it took me ages to record and I wasn't able to re-do that bit without redoing the entire thing). about 25 different people pointed out the mistake even though I had already corrected and didn't engage with the premise of the main point I was making 💀💀💀

oh my god this is winding me up so much as a content creator, people literally just invent a person and start beefing them???? I think about it every day even innocuous stuff like i made a youtube video where I mentioned being on my way to hang out with friends 3 separate times across the video - i got multiple comments that included "i'm am introvert that doesn't have any close friends too so i really related to this video" ????? like bc i'm an artist too they just project whatever they want on me 😭

As someone who is open and happy to have a discussion, most of what I see online makes me not want to comment. Face to face in a serious conversation many of these fuckwits would just regurgitate opinions that they have heard from someone else without the ability to form their own point. I used to love how social media brings the world together, but these days I realise that people are generally not worth listening to, I wish we could go back to a time when these conversations had to happen face to face
