There is a baby's car seat called the 'maxi-cosí pearl'. Obviously it's meant to be designed for maximum safety, which makes it hilarious that my Glaswegian sister-in-law pronounces it as the 'Maxi-Cosi PERIL!'

Aren’t the majority of those 2 syllables in most English dialects? I’m confused. Maybe this is why so many people are convinced I come from somewhere in the UK 🤷♀️

When I moved from North Lanarkshire to Dundee, I first encountered “film” with two syllables (“fil-um”) and also “cold” (“co-ald”). 😄
