People genuinely have zero media literacy anymore because they actually believe that Francesca wants kids because of a deep need to be a mother and not because she feels like she’s failing in her duties as a wife because she never bore John children and has now lost that opportunity and “failed” as a woman because she now never will have that chance. Yes she cared deeply for John and loved him but the show literally spelled out that Francesca isn’t just grieving her loss of John but also her failure. (This is shown in her conversation with her mom) Michaela being a women is important to the story because Francesca is more than just her ability to have kids. She deserves love and happiness. Furthermore, it’s important for infertility representation because in real life some women just can’t have kids and don’t get some miracle baby as a happy ending. Even if you want kids with all your heart (not Francesca’s case) if you’re unable to, you can still find happiness and fulfilment in other things and it doesn’t make you a failure

people forgetting bisexuality exists, she can love John and love Michela, loving one does not mean you dont love someone else, especially after losing them. she will have two great loves- thats the point I thought

I think the people saying that this is why she should be with Michael aren’t understanding that (at least in the show) she didn’t want kids cause SHE wanted kids, she wanted to be a good wife and do her wifely duties which entails having kids
