My newborn needs heart surgery between 3-4 months old. He's 6 weeks now. We don't plan on having visitors until he's recovered from surgery. I'm sure people won't be thrilled but we really, really don't care.

Our paediatrician has baby days where only children under 8 months are allowed. Baby day is always Wednesday (the whole day).

My MIL and FIL got angry because I said we are not bringing our 4 weeks old to their other grandchild’s 3rd birthday garden party what is planned to be around 40 people and we don’t know most of them. Of course several children as well around the age 2-5. They said I should just put the baby in the corner of the grass area in the garden 😅

People might think I’m crazy but I plan on limiting visits to 2-4 people at a time, wash hands immediately, hand sanitizer, and a mask for at least the first 2-4 weeks. If they don’t like it, they don’t get to visit.

My dad works in healthcare, mom in public school, when I was living with them she I had my son. Then came home from work everyday, immediately changed their clothes, shoes, AND showered before coming near me or my baby. Didn’t even have to ask. They just knew and did it

Heavy on screening for sickness! If someone has a lingering cough, it’s still considered being sick! Idk why people don’t consider a lingering cough as still being sick idc if you only coughed once in 30 min, you’re still sick

This can be confusing as some people go back to work at 6weeks before the babies are vaccinated as they have to return to work .

As a NICU Momma, I used Walmart pick up or delivery. We basically isolated for 3 months post NICU. My son is now 2 years old and aside from weather related stuffy noses, he's a strong and healthy boy.

Due in October and I’m so so nervous about sick season and the holidays 😭😭😭 my son was born in February so we were almost through all the flu/covid/rsv stuff by the time he was going anywhere, but this baby will be born right in the peak of it all…

Thank you for this! My baby is almost 5 weeks and we chose to make my family who has to fly in wait until she’s 2 months to come meet her. I’ve been kind of wishing we didn’t and feeling like we were overly cautious, but this is great reassurance that we’re doing the right thing
