China dose have an issue with youth unemployment. However, this is due to the fact that Chinese parents tend to put a lot of pressure on their kids to get well paid high end jobs. Consequently this results in a lot of young adults ignoring regular jobs. Moreover, as stated in this video, families in China will support their children financially until they can find something that will make them happy. This suggests that youth unemployment in China, is not a result of poor economy, but rather a desire for young generation to stive for higher goals. This is a completely different approach from other western countries where youth are encouraged prioritise work over education and career development. With many young adults living completely independently from their families after graduation. In conclusion, although it can fell differently for young adults in China to find employment. This is a result of a strong economy and high standards that allows young generation to aim for higher education and greater career paths.
