I went to Germany for 4 days and was so excited… unfortunately those days were 23-26 of December 😭 anyway I learned what doner was that week and survived off of them and the beer I bought before everything closed 😭

Happened to me too i came back from belgium on a Sunday morning nothing was opened which i knew lived on snacks then came Monday went for grocery there I got to know that it was a public holiday.

My first time in Germany I landed late in the evening and the next day was may 1, followed by a Sunday. Not a fun experience, specially since my hotel was in a business district since it was the cheapest one I could find (I quickly learned why) and there was literally NOTHING open.
