@thepainnpchenlow: Everyone has a ‘back pain trick’… but not all of them actually work. What’s ONE thing that made a real difference for you? I’ll share mine: 5 min daily stretch (Dead Bug) More isn’t better; overdoing it flares it up Pillow between knees (love my contour legacy pillow) Walking daily Massage + meds (when needed) Nothing fancy, just what actually works. Your turn 👇
Prescription strength lidocaine patches, sometimes took the edge off

I had L3-5 fused and I still have sciatica. The pain nauseating. Fibromyalgia has made the pain of recovery much worse. I have “Failed surgery syndrome “, stenosis, arthritis, and DDD. I have t found any relief yet.

I’m coming off methadone. My back and hips are killing me and keeping me up at night. I just don’t wanna be on methadone anymore. Is there anything that can help me?

A good mattress, massage, cupping, exercise, stretching, strong core, heat pads, heat wraps, hot tubs, CBD rub, RX opioids. It’s a lifestyle ✨

I had a steroid injection at L5 and it helped so much! For my upper back pain, not so much 🙄

All those things you mentioned. I need soft bed because of the pressure points & portable heating pads, but careful of toasted skin syndrome.. stretching and strengthening core helped me too.

I just started taking peptides for pain symptoms, muscle weakness, and spasms...I have severe spinal stenosis, struggling to walk any type of distance. 🤔 something to look into

I have spondylolisthesis with sciatica on both sides and I take 800 ibuprofen every 4 hrs and Tylenol and it doesn’t work! Not one dr will help me here. They gave me lidocaine cream.

I was shocked to see someone in the medical field with such deep knowledge about chronic pain, how patients suffer and the intricacies about how their lives are so adversely affected by it. I just realized it is because you live it with us. 🥺 Thank you for raising your voice to educate and help others.

Nothing works. I can’t bend to the right at all. Not for years. Tried everything except massage. Massage on my back usually puts me into bed for a week Wish there was something :(.

•the "dead bug" back stretch is great, I'll try to roll up underneath my shoulder blades a little extra too.
•lidocaine patches do wonders for lumbar pain (one on each side of spine).
•pillow between knees when laying in bed (+ NEVER laying on my back or stomach)

Ice packs have been a necessity. Even though I cringed at the idea of putting ice on my back initially.

Laying down in a hot shower 🚿 every morning for however long it takes(point of use water heaters help with this), then “weird” hypermobile stretches, core strengthening exercises, giving myself the permission to rest when I need to, proper posture (those core strengthening exercises help with this), water exercises, sleeping with a pillow between my legs, massage, and opioid pain relievers is top tier #1 for this list cuz I can’t do much of anything else without it 💯💯💯

Heating Pad, Electric Blanket, Sauna, Gentle Yoga, Low Dose Naltrexone. Until my issue because unbareable due to a fall. I then had to start meds again and get surgery.

Heat and hot tub can help. I had a back ablation and it was a huge success on my left side. Unfortunately, not on my right side.
