My boyfriend told me the reason he doesnt follow what I say correctly sometimes is that his brain processes the first thing I said as most important. So I started flipping the order. Instead of saying the ketchup is in the fridge on the top shelf in the back, I say the ketchup is in the back on the top shelf in the fridge. Don’t know why but apparently it works better for his brain. So here instead I’d say don’t touch it, its hot. Give the most vital information first and the rest of the picture builds itself around. A little communication adjustment for me that makes it clearer to him.
