Agree totally!! While our system was designed to vote for the individual in reality we vote for the party based on their policies. MPs are expected to follow party lines and not vote independently so anyone saying that constituents vote for the individual is wrong. Constituents vote for the party so MPs need to resign if they can no longer represent their party and want to switch parties.
