It's more than cutting out a drink here and there. it's meal prepping to save money, canceling subscriptions, repairing and working on your own possessions where you can (can't be afraid to learn and trust yourself to do so), setting monthly budgets and forecasting so you always know where you're at financially. Invest extra funds into a Roth IRA for tax free retirement money. Live comfortably within your means, stop BSing yourself where you should & scrap your way out of the rat race by starting a business that can compound to the point you can quit your 9-5. Once you quit your 9-5 you will save money on gas, quick lunch breaks that cause you to spend extra, etc. I'm not saying be miserable, I'm just saying you've got to be disciplined and devoted to yourself and your family. Obviously there is nuance to every unique situation and person, find what works best for you personally and get after it.
