One SC46 ran 185 mph on Florida's Lake Monroe in 1,550-hp mode using 16.5 by 38-inch pitch Mercury Racing propellers. That same boat was clocked at 157 mph on the lower calibration setting. Outerlimits is the only performance powerboat manufacturer in the world that uses carbon fiber post-cured epoxy on every vessel it builds, producing a hull that is lighter, stiffer, and more durable under extreme load than conventional fiberglass construction. Inside, the eight-seat cockpit is finished in Alcantara upholstery, carbon fiber dash inlays, Garmin GPS chartplotters, Mercury VesselView monitors, and a JL Audio sound system.
