@renamalikmd: Your lubricant might be causing your yeast infections. Many popular lubricants contain glycerin, which can increase your risk for recurrent yeast infections and other intimate health issues. This is something I see all the time in my practice, and it's completely preventable. When choosing a lubricant, look for options that are bioidentical with a pH around 4.6, similar to your body's natural pH. The label will usually tell you this. Focus on products with minimal ingredients and avoid glycerin when possible. Here's what most people don't realize: water-based lubricants dry up quickly and need reapplying. Silicone or oil-based options last much longer, making them better for extended intimacy. Just know that some people do experience yeast infections with these too, so pay attention to how your body responds. Save this next time you're shopping for lubricant.
