Cuba has some of the best beaches I have ever seen, white sand that’s so soft it barely feels like sand and it doesn’t even get hot so you can walk barefoot even away from the water

Our Gap × A.P.C. film was inspired by the spirit of ’60s French Nouvelle Vague and films like “À bout de souffle.” We wanted to tell a Franco-American love story about two strangers as they choose to take the long way - and what they find when they do. We cast @iaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnn and @palomalefriant as our actors, both artists with music backgrounds, as a nod to our brands’ shared history in music. It was their first time acting - a new way to explore their creativity and express themselves. Then came director @karlcan, whose roots in both France and Los Angeles made him the perfect choice to connect both worlds. He guided our actors through the cinematic Montmartre district as a love letter to Paris.
