My family were French lords at that time, so I’m going to want siege equipment. We’ll need to fortify the river banks with logs and mud burms draped in moss; lots of rocks and wooden towers mounted with catapults, cloth drenched in oil for meteors. Prepare long bows with bodkin arrows, decorate the towers with shields using strips of metal to hold out until quarry supplies arrive for masonry to reinforce the river banks with tall walls and higher towers refitted with ballista and trebuchet.
