Here’s a quick explanation of what’s going on: Everything takes place after episode 15 of Beast‑Yeast. I decided to cut out the rift scene in my AU and remove it entirely (I just don’t like it). Just like in the canon, White Lily dies, and Silence does too (everyone else is alive). Instead of moving on, Pure Vanilla (he’s the main character of the whole AU) couldn’t accept the death of his best friend. He was way too emotionally attached to her—you could even say he was in love with her. So, when everything was over, Pure Vanilla decided to start a new life. He went back to the Vanilla Kingdom, and luckily, they made him king again (since he’s the founder of the Vanilla Kingdom and a really good ruler). Everything seems fine, but every ten years (starting from when he became an Ancient Hero and founded the Vanilla Kingdom), Pure Vanilla would create a Star of Light. This star kept the kingdom in good shape—it gave them almost eternal mild summer, joy, love, and so on. But this time, something inside Vanilla had already broken (he was dealing with inner depression because of losing Lily), and that affected the star. Instead of light and summer, it brought an eternal cold winter. As these changes happened, Pure Vanilla kept getting worse. His depression made him even more dependent on Lily’s memory. He started hurting himself and sometimes drank wine—but only in small amounts; he’s not an alcoholic. He didn’t want to share his feelings with anyone, so he decided to stop leading the Ancient Heroes. Vanilla cut off all ties with his friends, thinking it was the best thing to do (don’t worry, Dark Cacao is now the leader of the Ancient Heroes).
