Does he really believe people making minimum wage make $42,000 a year? I make over $16 and make less than $30,000

My base salary is $80k but when they add the value of my benefits like sick/ vac time, medical premiums & auto 1% into my 401k, paperwork says I'm compensated well over $100k

If he’s working at least 30 hours based on some states minimum full-time hours is 30 then it would be $7.69 however, if he’s working a full 40 hours a week he’s making less than like four dollars an hour. However, if he were to get fired, he would not have any probably any funds to do anything $1000 a month is nothing.

Pay vs compensation. If the extra stuff has value, it counts towards overall compensation

42k a year minimum? that must only apply to certain jobs because I worked a job full time once where I barely made 24k a year.

I only spend about $1400 a month on rent and food… I make about $3200 a month and I’m paycheck to paycheck right now… $1000 a month is so little!

Hold on why did he say 42,000. I make more than a minimum wage where I live and I don’t make 42,000 a year lol

hi :
it just depends on the other stuff he's paying for. if I pay your mortgage/rent, and all your food. that could equate to 3500 a month right there.

I once had a boss pay me $800 a week salary. My paystub would always say 8 hrs @ $100 an hour. So it looked like I only worked 8 hrs a week. He said it didn’t matter, it’s all the same. 🤷🏼♂️I don’t know
