When I was in high school the air force ones were THE shoe. The. Entire. Six. Years. People went through multiple pairs over their whole school experience because they were actually able to wear them until they disintegrated and still be ✨on trend✨. It’s so weird to see how short the shoe trends are nowadays, it kinda sad. Personally I’m a boot-gal and just have ones that work for me and my style and though I have a small collection of dr martens now, but you bet that those are all getting worn until they literally fall apart and will probably still wear them for a while after that.

been wearing one pair of shoes every day, every season for a good 4 years now I think, while it's definitely not feasible (nor entirely practical) for most people I DO think it shows that most people over consume when it comes to footwear, saying this I am planning on trying to snag a Mary Jane style sneaker second hand soon if I can find an affordable pair 💔

i swearrr chunky loafers have been going out of style, had mine since ca 22! i cant believe ive had a shoe long enough to loop around and be trendy again, at 24 years old

I hadn’t bought new spring/summer shoes in a few years. Realized I really liked a pair of ballet sneakers in August, and finally bought them on sale in February. They’re really trendy rn so there will be lots of styling inspo, but I’ll keep wearing them a long time ☺️

babe for me the only shoes I need in the spring and summer months are converse, ballet flats, my nice wedges and sandals. and they all pretty much go with everything and all cost me less than a tenner

I LOVE cowboy boots. I have several pairs that I bought from Vinted last year and I wear them all the time. I'm actually kind of happy that the warmer weather has come later this year as I've got more wear out of the boots. I love them and will continue to wear them

I’d been taught to wear every pair of shoes until they disintegrated because we couldn’t afford new ones. Now I can, but I still wear my shoes to the ground. Why wouldn’t I if they’re still good and comfy? Makes no sense to me
