reactor 1 was shut down safely in 1991 reactor 2 shut down safely in 1996 and 3 was shut down safely in 2000. reactor 4 was shut down safely in 1986

Okay so I did the research for everyone fighting in the comments no radiation didn’t affect the plane or the rotors the issue was the lines were invisible to the helicopter due to the debris being kicked around it as well as potentially the fact it was sunset so the glare from it could have also affected the pilots eyes all officially stated from the KGB

Oh so they just flew into cables, that’s it? I thought the pilot died bc of all the radiation and just flew into those cables unconscious, but I guess not.

Wow the radiation took the air from the tires of the chopper and that caused its tie rod to fail so the propeller bearings came ungreased and started disassembling itself getting ready for transportation all bc of radiation

When they demanded equipment and mechanisms to handle throwing parts of a concrete cover from the roof of a building, they gave wrong information to Germany, but the Germans sent them machines that exceeded the degree of radiation mentioned above.

This was 6 months after and they were not being affected by the radiation. However they got caught on a thin steel cable probably hard to see during flight.

What happened to the helicopter was due to heat and radiation the pilots were knocked unconscious or suffering aswell as it was so hot it started to melt the helicopter which caused it to essentially weld itself stuck
