@lexy.layman: Practicing hanging 🐒🌴🫁 🧠 I learned the other day that babies develop their natural instinct to grab onto things (like ripping our hair out 😅) bc that’s how they learned to hold onto mama when we were hunter/gatherers! Adds up #babyplay #babymilestones #babymilestone #play #momlife
I can tell the people who don’t have kids & do have kids based on the fact that they don’t know what nursemaids elbow is 💀 & what causes it (pst. Not this ) 😂

I’m a newborn care specialist and I do this and “baby yoga” with my clients. Seeing people with no experience at all complain about this is so silly

please don't do this, your baby will develop something called strength and could be a pro rock climber one day

We did this with all of our babies as well. All but one were full blown walking by 10 months. The one that wasn’t, thought this exercise was the funniest thing and would just let go and throw himself back into the bed. 😂 Anyways. Great work!

All im wondering here is why we're trying to increase babies grip strength. Like I do understand the overall importance, but their lil hands are so strong, why are we making it harder to get our hair/necklaces/keys back from that grasp? lol

I’m an OT and I don’t worry about hurting shoulders/elbows as long as the other side is activating/pulling against me!

I don’t hold mine in the air like this, but my 4mo loves to hold my fingers and pull himself up into a sitting position! He’s getting so strong in his core gonna be able to sit himself up on his own before I know it 🥹
