my dad died in November 2020 from covid but I was allowed to be by his bedside and hold his hand while he took his final breath I was in full PPE but knowing that I was there to hold his hand when he died and everything to me because not everybody was as lucky as I was to experience that and be with their loved one when they died.

If you think about it or just another year and there’s no proof whether or not we knew what was right and what was wrong so truthfully, we have no idea if we really knew what was actually happening at that time. It’s just a crazy thought. I don’t even know how to explain it without like doubling over on myself, but it’s just such a crazy idea of not knowing what kind of reality you live in and that’s the scary truth of it. I don’t even know.😭

I had to do chemo alone for 22 months. Surgeries, radiation, all of it. I was diagnosed in march 2019. It was very very traumatic.

they tried to do it to my mom but a good nurse let my dad be in the room with her. he seen them turn off her oxygen and try to vent her yelling and trying to rush to do ut until my dad flipped the oxygen back on. thank God and thank that good nurse or they would have gotten my mom

I’m an ICU nurse and during covid I had families on FaceTime saying goodbye to their loved ones as I held there hands as they passed. I done this for 61 patients and was diagnosed with PTSD because of it. I can’t even begin to imagine the trauma the families of my patients went through, it was a horrifying time.

when I was a cna at an assisted living facility, I would work 12 to 16 hours, typically nights. I (and others) snuck family members in to see their dying loved ones, I was strictly on the covid side of our building...

Lost my mother in law in 2021 due to COVID. She was alone in that hospital, they told us not to visit and we would be barred from entry if we tried, they tried to cut video calls short or try to stop us from having them with her. Even though she was in a coma, those video calls were all that we had with her. She passed alone in that hospital and I will NEVER forgive anyone who was involved.

My grandmother passed during covid, I didn't get to get in and see her because of the restrictions until she was unable to speak or open her eyes, unsure if she could still hear at this point.
