I was in business for 15 years. I got ripped off more times than you can count One thing I learned was prepay. I required everything to be prepaid and that resolved about 95% of it. People would still charge back their credit cards, even when the job was done correctly. I quit taking checks right up front, I had more bounced checks than you could count.
