I literally just had the craziest conversation with an old guy yesterday (who is married to the most amazing feminist so this through me for a loop) about how he doesn’t believe in misogyny. Literally said that it’s just nature that men are better than women and even went as far as to say that the only reason women have rights is because men gave them to women. 😳 I tried to explain that that is literally misogyny… it was WILD.

I always tell my female friends: apply to jobs like a man!!! We accidentally hold ourselves back sometimes! the other things with sports that gets misinterpreted is that things women "can't" do are sometimes limited by equipment. for instance, we act like female gymnasts can't do pommel horse but that's partly related to the equipment itself. they also look down on smaller balls even though technically it's more impressive imo and makes sense if the hands are smaller, it's not making it easier it's just making it proportional to frame.

I just found out that my grandmothers (and really, mother because she lived in a rural area) did not have public school sports. How can people assume women aren't athletic until we have generations teaching generations athletic competence? My kids love baseball because they've been playing catch with my husband since they were toddlers.
