Maybe if you saw things from my perspective, you’d understand that it was never just about what happened, it was about how it made me feel. The way things were handled, the lack of consideration, the way I was left to deal with it alone… that’s what stayed with me. It’s easy to dismiss someone’s feelings when you’re not the one experiencing them, but if you truly cared, you would’ve been more mindful of your actions and how they would affect me. I didn’t expect perfection, just a little more understanding, a little more empathy. At the end of the day, it’s not even about blame, it’s about realizing that the way you treat people leaves a lasting impact. And sometimes, the hardest part isn’t what happened… it’s knowing it could’ve been handled differently if you cared enough.
