100% blame the marketing for 28 years later bone temple. the name dropped shortly after the initial 28 years came out so I thought it was the full release name, not the name of the sequel. then I saw almost nothing leading up to it. fantastic movie

I wholeheartedly agree that both Mario Movies have paper-thin, sentence-long plots, and next to no character development... and I have also loved both since they're absolutely 100% pandering to me specifically, and jangling ALL the keys that make my nostalgia go brr. I had an 11/10 experience, even though they're not good at being movies
