I’ve honestly never understood this. I just put the baby in a bouncy seat on the floor of the bathroom, or showered when they were sleeping 🤷♀️mom of 3. If they started crying, I just tried to hurry up.

I’d never understood this, the baby naps, there’s also the option to put the playpen, bassinet, baby swing or high chair in front the bathroom while the baby is awake

The people saying “you’re lucky you don’t get it” clearly are having kids with the wrong person… I picked my husband because yes I love him of course. But I also picked him because I know how amazing of a dad he will be.

I didn’t realize how rare it was for dad to wake up with baby sometimes too? I have friends that look at me like I have 2 heads when I say my husband and I split night shift.

I could disappear off the face of the planet for a month and my baby would be perfectly taken care of by her father. House would probably be cleaner then when I’m there too 😂😂

I had postpartum depression really bad with my first. It had nothing to do with me “not being allowed to” shower. Just had to do with I didn’t have the mental capacity to do so.

as a single mom, I simply wheeled the bassinet into the bathroom and let my girl chill while I showered 🤷🏼♀️i do not play about hygiene!

My struggle is my already existing depression and the tiredness from taking care of my newborn making it really hard for me. My husband helps me whenever I ask but sometimes I just have to push myself as well

My husband will always hold our baby for me to shower. But even if he’s not home…I just lay her in her bassinet or put the bouncer in the bathroom floor. Sometimes she cries halfway through but she’s safe. I’m not a cry it out mom but she will be okay for 5 min while I take care of me.

Same! Now do I sometimes get anxiety over it and have a hard time going up all control? Yes. But that’s a me problem 😂 my husband is great

I had severe post partum anxiety and depression. If I took a shower my brain would literally trick me into thinking that my baby was screaming for me and making me feel like the worst mother in the entire world.
