I turned 35 today. A month from now I’ll have one year sober. By far the longest I’ve ever held onto the wagon. Took twenty years, but I finally feel like I’m figurin’ it out. After a month in the hospital last September the doc told me I had around a 50% shot at livin’ the next three months, so takin’ some time off felt pretty necessary. All I did this last year was write and record so I’m sittin’ on a wrapped Escape From The ZOO album and like 20 DND demos, but I gotta wait on some other folks before I can release that stuff. After bein’ radio silent and landlocked for so long I’m super antsy to share those tunes so I figured I’d just throw together a quick solo ep in the meantime. Snagged a little electric drumkit off marketplace and recorded a few things. Tryin’ to have it done by 9/17 ‘cause that’ll be one year off the sauce, but I wanna get it soundin’ just how I like, for better or worse XD, so it may be a bit later. Posted a mix of one of the songs on the daysndazeofficial youtube if ya wanna give it a listen, and If ya check out the rest of ‘em next month hope ya dig it!!
