When do you question orders ? In the morning? When you look at all they have and be like ok this is for their hxtn…, etc and all the research. Do you msg a dr if something is incessant for it to be discontinued?

First year student; handed meds in the summer. I know they say the ten right of medication, if you don't know the medication don't administer the drug to the patient but here's my anxiety how am I supposed to remember every single drug?! Is there somewhere on the chart where it says what the medication is and what it's used for?

Yes you are not alone, PSWs and externs are always happy to help. But please don’t abuse them, many nurses fully rely on them.

I’m a new grad in a step down unit with no nurse externs or PCTs. It would make such a difference to be able to delegate vitals and glucose checks.
