Because Lilith (as we see in flashbacks) took her away from Lucifer and raised her for the most part/majority of her life and then disappeared out of the blue, so oobviously she feels closer to her mother and wants her back instead of diving into her dads arms. And has to get used to him first. Like, apart from a few missteps Charlie is like the most unproblematic character out of everyone and yet she somehow gets hated the most it’s ridiculous.

i wish ppl would be more understanding of Charlie's reaction to Lucifer this season tbh I know she made a lot of bad decisions and I'm not trying to justify it but Lucifer despite loving his daughter very much, was an absent dad. it's a very sudden change and ik he's trying.

I just think about season one and I remember when Charlie defended Alistor when he was defending the hotel and in season two when Lucifer did the exact same thing by defending Charlie against Vox she gets mad at him despite the fact that’s exactly what she wanted him to do in the first season when she said how come he can have faith in me when my own father can’t

I wish Lucifer would’ve tried to talk to Charlie more instead of just distancing himself from her even as an adult. It makes sense for them to not have been close when she was a kid but she’s a grown adult now and yet he’s shown to barely do anything to help rebuild their relationship, he has to get persuaded by her girlfriend instead of trying to go to his own daughter first
