No, it's not the Ritz in Monaco, it's three nights at a Fairfield Inn off the highway to visit a client in a business park in Des Moines Iowa

Tomorrow I’m spending 7 hours on a flight to go to one dinner, one day of meetings, then flying 7 hours back home.

I travel every week. I fly out on Monday and fly home on Friday. I don’t mind it at all!!

HR you okay? :
Day full of meetings, sad quesadillas alone, and barely sleeping in a hard bed.

And don’t think for a moment that just because you are in a cool city that you are exploring that cool city.. you are in a conference room with no windows!

It’s the worst. Fun at first but then you get tired of airports, hotel, nearby food, etc. Even then — you can try and tell your colleagues who say they’d like it but no good lol

I go to Orlando every year and stay at the nicest resort I’ve ever been to.. year 1 I literally didn’t even step outside the entire time, spent it all freezing my 🍑 off in conference sessions for 12+ hours a day then crashed as soon as they were done. Last year I drove and got there early enough the day before it started to spend a few hours by the pool with cocktails because I wasn’t about to have FOMO again 😂

It’s the worst. You never sleep well in the hotel.

This year I’ve gone to Dallas and phoenix, I’m headed off to Long Island in 2 weeks which is the only trip I am excited about, taking a day to go in the city and see the touristy stuff

78...that is the number of flights I have been on in the last 13 months...it is NOT glamorous...it's exhausting. There are a few fun moments...but it meetings, meetings, and more meetings.

It definitely isn’t. I thought I was cool at first. Being the youngest person at a hotel breakfast is always interesting 😂😅😭

I didn’t this for about 18 months and at first I loved it. Built up status quick, etc. Then a new opportunity came along that didn’t require as much travel, it’s not the flex folks think.

For me minus being away from the wife and kids, the worse is the last day. Working for 8 hours and then catching a 3.5 hour flight home just to land late at night sucks.

I go to conferences, attend all day, then try to catch up on work at night. Try to grab a bit somewhere in between....
