I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting lately on life, my career, and the things that matter most to me. It’s no secret that the life I live is unique. People most times knowing your name wherever you go, performing in a different state every night, and having public attention on you during both the best and worst moments of your life. I often struggle with the feeling of not being enough. There’s a fine line between being who you are and being who “they” want you to be. We live in a world where we constantly judge and scrutinize ourselves and others just by scrolling on our phones. Comparison has become an addiction just as poisonous as anything else. And in an industry where success and acceptance are often measured by nominations, awards, and outside validation, the weight can get heavy. The feeling of always needing to reach the next level follows you everywhere you go. Lately, I’ve taken a step back and looked at the bigger picture. I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about what really matters and the truth is, the only “they” that matters is YOU. The fans. The people who have supported me day in and day out. The ones who listen to the songs, come to the shows, buy the tickets, wear the merch, and believe in me when I don’t always believe in myself….If I never live up to the expectations of the other “they’s,” I’ll be just fine. Because I’ve got an army behind me that supports me for who I am and never asks me to be somebody else. For that, I’ll never be able to thank y’all enough for being on this crazy ride with me. Love yall, Chase 🤟🤓
