Don’t feed him peas. If he has swim bladder (trouble staying upright, floating or sinking, bloated) Mysis or brine shrimp are easy to get, daphnia is the best laxative for betta’s. Best fed after a few days fast. If he’s not eating AT ALL, try some garlic guard and soak his food in it, worked for my boys. Epsom salt for bloating, aquarium salt for infections/bacteria. Sometimes it’s caused by secondary things so it’s nice to treat for everything.

You need at least a 5 gallon with a heater/filter/ etc. this is BASIC fish care, even a petsmart employee knows this.
