Sometimes this isn’t as cost effective as it looks. If you don’t own a can of tomato paste it costs more than just buying the ketchup. You look at the cost of the serving not to cost of obtaining and waste of items and those count in the over all cost as well.

I used to work at a cafe that did waffles; we used a box mix, but always added a bit of cinnamon and vanilla. I still do that whenever I make pancakes/waffles and it’s such a game changer!
