@leahhopehealth: Don’t worry… it’s almost surgery day so you won’t have to see much more of this. 😉 But this message matters. ‼️ The reason I started sharing my journey wasn’t just to show what I did… it was to show what’s possible! I wanted someone out there to look at me and think, “If she can do it… maybe I can too.” Because when you can see yourself in someone, you start to believe change is actually available to you. And I won’t lie… it was hard to start sharing. First my weight loss. Then my loose skin. Then my scars. It’s vulnerable. And it’s uncomfortable. But it’s always been for something bigger than me. Because every mean comment and every moment I feel nervous hitting “post”… it’s worth it when I see things like: “My body looks like yours.” “You made me feel less alone.” “You inspired me to start.” That’s why I’m here. 🥹 So no, I’m not hiding my loose skin. Or my scars. Or what I looked like before. Or my vulnerability…. just because someone might not like it. Because if me showing up like this helps even one person feel seen, or believe change is possible for them too… that’s a reason worth sharing. I received a comment just yesterday telling me to “cover it up” and that I’m being immodest. But I believe modesty is deeper than clothing… it’s about intention. And my intention has never been to seek attention. It’s to help people feel seen, to normalize real bodies and to remind someone they’re not alone in theirs. I can’t imagine how lonely I would have felt if I hadn’t seen other women sharing their loose skin while I was living with mine. The women before me gave me the courage to do this. And I just hope I can pass that on. 💜
