For a long time, I cared too much about what other people thought of me. I would replay conversations in my head, wonder if I was good enough, and look for reassurance everywhere except from myself. The truth is, no amount of validation ever felt like enough because I hadn’t learned how to give it to myself. Things started to change when I stopped trying so hard to earn approval and began accepting who I was, flaws and all. I still have insecurities and days when I doubt myself, but they don’t control me the way they used to. Loving myself isn’t something I’ve mastered it’s something I choose to work on every day, especially when it’s difficult.
