@9womanprops: Commented on@Sky News’s post I posted this question on an Artemis video and TikTok told me to make it a post. So here we are. 🤷♀️ I'm genuinely curious – not trolling. With rovers, drones, and AI getting so advanced, what can humans do up there that machines can't? Is it about science? Prestige? Survival? What's YOUR take? Let's have a real conversation. 👇 #Artemis #NASA #SpaceDebate #GenX #CuriousMind
it's the same reason we don't have bots doing all of our entertainment. people just do things better.

There is so much value in sending real humans to places with great beauty. Robots and AI can’t feel what it’s like to be there or appreciate things that other humans would appreciate. If we had the tech and only sent robots during Apollo we wouldn’t have the Earthrise photo.

Robots ain’t that capable really. Especially when we start building the actual moon base. We can’t even build houses with robots and we have very little data to train them with from the actual lunar surface. Humans are way better at adapting and making stuff work in any environment. Remote controlling robots would also be tedious and slow/somewhat impossible without the new communication station built

Because that’s what everyone else has done, there’s already robots on mars imagine how cool it would be if there were people?

the amount of science that humans can do in a few hours is SO MUCH GREATER than what rivers and automated machines can do in the same amount of time.

Same reason why we don't have robots ride rollercoasters or play in the NFL. For the love of the game, Baby! 👍

IDK would you like to be replaced? AI can scroll through your phone and give you feedback on all the posts that you might be laughing at or liking but I don’t think it would be the same. How do you feel about that?

Bc it’s easy to put machines in space (relative) keeping people alive has always been the most difficult part of space travel

Maintenance/emergencies. Having a few engineers on board is good because it could save them a few billion dollars in potential emergency costs that could be easily repairable

We’re going on these missions to figure out stable conditions to live in the moon. Also using ai for data we haven’t used isn’t useful.

They would have to make some sort of advance system to run the tests and all they did. It’s just cheaper to send humans and humans don’t just break for no reason. I’m looking at you outlook
