If you have a british passport yes, its quite ok since you pay home fee and your parents have an income with british pounds so you have no problems with currency and currency exchange, but if you are an international student you have to pay the overseas fee, which depends on course to course, but overall quite expensive. After this if your currency is weak against the pound, going out will often seem hard to do. Cambridge was the second most expensive city I lived in after London. It is true, u most likely don't need to pay for commuting, but groceries, going out, activities etc are way more expensive comapred to other smaller cities. Still I lived there for 4 years, and have no regrets. It is to this day the place I call home and feel nostalgic for. Especially if you are a student, you will rediscover yourself and find many new ineterests and friends. The people there were, and still are amazing both the ones from inside the uni and the ones outside of it. I often feel nostalgic, and often visit when possible to see old friends there
