@jennainsession: Most people come to meditation the same way they come to therapy—wanting relief. Less anxiety. More peace. A quieter mind. And when that doesn’t happen quickly, they assume they’re doing it wrong. But Buddhism teaches something very different. Meditation isn’t about changing your experience. It’s about changing your relationship to it. The frustration, the restlessness, the racing thoughts— that’s not failure. That is the practice. The moment you stop trying to use meditation to fix yourself… is often the moment something begins to shift. #buddhism #anxietyhelp #mindfulnesspractice #mentalhealthtools #meditation101
so you mean meditation is going inside and facing what you feel?

One I thing I like to add, Meditation is not an always siting cross your legs close your eyes posture. it can practice any time anywhere during any activity. You can lay down and meditate, you can do walking meditation. I was one confuse and misunderstanding about meditation until I had panic attack problem, that is when I learned what real meditation meant.

I never expected it to fix me. I needed to learn to focus on the moment I was in. I needed to learn to focus and think about that one moment so I could then react accordingly. I needed to get back into it again, I have forgotten how to focus on the moment.

correct. meditation is not at all about expecting a result either calm, relax etc. . it's uses to see how you feel until, until your feeling/thought becomes quiet by itself. not because u force it to b, it becomes naturally, then you heal. in term of science if compared it'd like deep sleep every night you have but you r just awaken while sleeping you are not awaken. hope it helps

In Theravada practice...meditation doesn't need to be too long...
It is just a part of the daily practice but it is not a whole...
Monk does it just within .a.. short hour.. after meditation they still discuss what problem they face and they find a way to solve it
Meditation is not an escape but a pathway to make us see things more clearly so that we can make the right decision over our lives

Can't be explained or described simply by words. Living in the present moment is for one to experience himself/herself by practicing. May all be well, happy and peaceful always... 🙏 🙏 🙏

That’s so true.. while we are feeling the pain from sitting on the floor for too long 🧘🏻 we will be practicing how to recognize it and focus on our breathing and shift the focus... That’s a part of the meditation 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Yes meditation is pain. The most emotional pain Ive ever experienced. Training my emotions has helped me in every way possible. I no longer shy away from life. I can face anything.
