Hey so if you add extra caffeine, it changes the drink to be an energy drink. Which is now a completely different drink. So it’s really not a “price change”, it’s an additional charge ❤️

Idk about you but my usual total when I get a Venti pink drink with egg bites is $14 for today. It was only $12 for the exact same order so I don’t know I didn’t use any sort of app or anything.

Starbucks Barista here 🙋🏿 I noticed your drink says "Strawberry Acai Lemonade ENERGY Refresher." That word energy is why it costs more, let me explain. Starbucks has changed the recipe for their refresher bases. Originally, the base we got on truck, the one everyone is used to, was already caffinated. The new base we get is caffeine free, and the caffeine is now in a separate bottle that we pump into the refresher. We did this so that people can choose whether or not to have caffeine in their refresher. This also allows us to add extra caffeine that we couldn't before, and thus the "Energy Refreshers" were born. The energy refresher cost more because you're paying for extra caffeine. If you want the original price, just order "Strawberry Acai Lemonade" instead of "Strawberry Acai Lemonade Energy." It'll be the old price again and have the same amount of caffeine it did before the change. If anyone has any further questions, please let me know, I'm happy to answer what I can!

Every time they introduce new menu items, they slightly raise their prices. I’m switching to redbull because it’s consistent and cheaper. I’m tired of Starbucks changing their working recipes and not bringing back my faves on the seasonals.
