how many tickets do you all typically have at the box office in person? and when do they go on sale in relation to online sales? do you all participate in presales? it's often presented as if online is the only option.

That’s great in theory but those resellers also buy everything the second they go on sale so you have no choice to buy through them. Ticketmaster loves it too cause they make more money on fees cause of higher ticket prices.

fwiw the slogan of if a show is sold out it’s sold out it’s pretty off putting especially in the era of Ticketmaster waiting rooms that disperporteonally advantage power users

I mean yeah but a ton of times Ticketmaster won’t let people resell, especially if they purchased from a side reseller.

unfortunately many of the tickets through the "artist's site" are just Ticketmaster. often times I will go to 9:30's site and they are also through Ticketmaster.

there’s a site called ticketdotter that aims on reconnecting the artists, venues, and fans ethically. i know they’re starting up in the UK, but i always say it doesn’t hurt to check it out

Always a risk but I saw a sold out Minus the Bear show for $6 off StubHub tickets last year. Retail was $65.

i mean that’s not really a solution when all the tickets that are released are immediately bought up by resellers so the only way to get one is through a 3rd party site
