I’m in South Carolina and I make around $60,000 as a data clerk at my school district!!! I’ll have my MSW on May 10th. Social workers in my district make around $75,000-$80,000 plus in my district 😳

I’m an LMSW in TX and am in the $60k range as a school social worker, BUT I’ve been working in schools for about 10 years so yeah…I started right where you are Sis! We get paid once a month on the 15th, but they pro-rate our salary amongst 12 mths so we still get a check in the summer

Thank you for sharing!! It’s so crazy to see the similarities in how the school systems are set up! I’m in SC and I’m making around 60k or so as a SSW. I’m at an alternative school and I feel like I should definitely be paid more since I’m in that setting. We got the steps too tho so when I started out, I started out as a step 5, so now I should be at step 8 or 9 and we get the yearly step increase pay every school year. We get paid twice a month tho. But baby them deductions!?! Eats a check up!!! 😂😂 The social workers in my district have been advocating for a raise so we’ll see how that pans out.

I’m a 10 month school social worker in Florida we get paid every 2 weeks so I roughly make about 5,000 monthly before taxes also they give us career building opportunities which they pay 500 per training we complete plus you get a pay raise for your teaching certificate
