@libskphotos: This is a really vulnerable thing for me to post but it’s my reality and part of my story now so I’m choosing to share it with the world. A few days ago, after only 2 rounds of my treatment, my hair started to fall out. And even though I was told I would lose my hair when I first got diagnosed, nothing could ever have prepared me for watching it actually happen. Like most woman, my hair was my security blanket, my form of expression and individuality and an important part of my appearance that I never thought would be taken from me. But from the beginning of this journey, I told myself that I would not let this disease take any more from me than it already has and that losing my hair would be MY choice. This was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do but the relief and freedom I feel now is so worth it and I couldn’t have made that first cut without my mum, my dad, my 2 sisters and my love.
