The CeraVe Salicylic acid cleanser is what made my pores become huge in the first place. I had small pores until I used that product and I’ve never been able to reverse what it did to my skin. I tried it for a long time too, a good few months.

I’ve done all of the above + niacinamide for oil control and I still struggle with dark, large pores 😭 I think it’s a hormonal thing as I strongly suspect I have PMOS

if you have sensitive skin, all of the above is waaaayyy too much. I know cos I've tried it too, and my skin went into overdrive and overproduced oil and became more textured. I focused on rebuilding my skin barrier. Double cleanse (only at night, no cleansing in the morning) and very gentle moisturiser - Round lab birch moisturiser (VERY little on my forehead). NO actives other than salicylic acid twice a week. I basically used chatgpt asy private dermatologist and very closely monitored the progress and the effects of every product I used, it took time but it's getting better. I know how frustrating it is, so I hope you manage to find a skin routine that works for you.

People please DO NOT do this in this order. Retinoids should only be used at night and never right after using a chemical exfoliant. Also you shouldn't use either of them everyday

i use paula’s choice BHA toner or the medicube toner pads and it helps a lot and makes my skin softer but as soon as i stop they get bigger again and it’s superrr noticeable. i jsut want it to be smooth and not noticeable without having to use products for the rest of my life
