my daughter is 15. she sees me doing things alone sometimes and it makes her sad. I try to tell her, I love you and our family and my friends, but sometimes I need to fall back in love with myself and I need to be alone sometimes to remember who I am outside of mom, friend, wife.

it sounds so dumb but im 36 and I just went to the movies foe the 1st time alone.... my anxiety was atrocious until I. sat in my seat and then when the movie started I was giggling and eating my treats unbothered. I can not scream YES!!!!! to this more!!!!! life is to be loved and so are you!!!! ❤️

Omg ppl made fun of me for going to the theater alone, I told them imagine having 4 kids and this is my only “quiet time” they were like “ohhh makes sense” (I don’t have kids 😂 I just don’t have many friends lol)

If I waited on someone else to come with me, I’d never get to enjoy anything. I’d also rather be by myself than with someone who doesn’t value my time. I get anxiety about it sometimes but that doesn’t stop me from going out anyways.

I prefer eating and going places alone. It's so peaceful and I thoroughly enjoy my own company. I've never cared if I get weird looks 🤣🖤❤️

When you stop waiting on other people to do literally anything, you realize the power you have in yourself. I eat out and take myself on little dates alone all the time. Concerts, shows, movies, musuems, festivals, sporting events, travel..... I REFUSE to miss out on life just because nobody else can or wants to tag along.

I met my husband at the age of 50, we got married at 52, 1st marriage for both of us. During my adult life I spent a lot of time uninvolved and/or celibate. I took myself out to eat, took myself on vacation, bought myself diamonds and flowers. I was enough and enjoyed it.

At 18 I wouldn't go anywhere without friends or do anything alone. At 24 I bought my own house all by myself, I go to concerts alone, I love my alone time; it's never a bad time 🫶🏼

I will say I have no problem doing things by myself. Except I try to avoid going out to dinner on a friday and Saturday night. I do feel like I stick out like a soar thumb 😂🤣😂
