@heroiisa: Things you should know before visiting Albania 🌊🏔️🇦🇱 🩵 Best beaches to visit for clear, blue water If you want to swim in the turquoise waters Albania is famous for, you need to go to the SOUTH. The coast between Dhërmi in the north and Ksamil in the south is the best area. If you visit Vlorë or Durrës, or other more northern cities by the coast, the beaches do not have clear turquoise water like this. 🗺️ Getting to the beaches I recommend Albania for more adventurous beach lovers because many of the most beautiful beaches are not the easiest to access, and may require some hiking, boat tours, or even a tiny bit of climbing. There are easy beaches as well, but just know that to get to some of these beaches, you might need to do more than park your car right next to the beach and walk 20 meters. 🪨 Pebbles vs. sand Many beaches with clear turquoise water have pebbles instead of sand, so just be mentally prepared and don’t expect fine sand on the beaches. 🏖️ Private beaches Many beaches in popular beach towns, especially Ksamil, are private, which means that you need to buy food or drinks from their owner restaurants and bars to spend time on them. I didn’t really find this to be a huge problem since you typically also get to use a sunbed for the same price, and the food is relatively affordable. ✈️ Part 3 with more Albania travel tips is coming soon :)

Ksamil has the most beautiful beaches which you can reach in few secs or minutes depending on your stay. For me is 5 minutes walking, no bus no car no scooter or whatsoever

I‘m from Durrës & the beaches here are good for swimming and bathing, but by far not as beautiful as the ones in the south tho
