Immortal player here.. he’s 30% right. The smoke it good for that scenario but the Initiator always flashes back site so that’s the not problem. I rather have the smoke not covering corner so you can hold it with your team whe defenders are trying to retake. The close smoke gives them an opportunity for their jet to dash platform for back wall

Immo smokes player, both smokes have different uses. The first smoke is better if you or only a teammate is already on site and holding CT. If you have the space and clear the angle, the first smoke is always better (tighter choke AND they HAVE to swing into your crosshair). If you are smoking for an entry then the second smoke is usually better, but in higher tier play it is better to throw the first smoke + combo with a molly because it allows you to stall the retake much more easily.

You want to have it so that if they push out they’re visible from everywhere. If the smoke is too deep it could allow them to isolate angles. You want them to be fully exposed if they push through.
